Recently my focus has been divided into three areas of audio consulting. As a Protools Mixer, Editor/sound designer and Installations and Studio Technology Integrations Consultant. I have been working all around the world as a Freelance Protools operator and consultant in LA, NYC, Paris, Nice, Rome and Tokyo. I am well versed in all delivery formats and requirements for Music. Audio post, ADR, VO, Sound Design, and any and all alternative delivery formats.
A few job highlights: Currently consulting for Guitar Center Pro for troubleshooting and installations. Also consulting for Digidesign on software and application integration and development.
I worked recently at a fantastic conference in Palm Springs; The ITA conference,
Mythic Imagination and Modern Society. There I mixed Live sound for
Jai Uttal, Garish, Manose, Geoffrey Gordon, John Cleese, and many others..
I also worked on a National Geographic Special, as mixer and Audio Post Supervisor.
Audio Post Supervisor and Mixer for "E.T.
DVD release ", theatrical 5.1., the :30 and :60 versions, over
at The Enterprise Stage X. I worked
as the Audio Post Production supervisor, dubbing in 23 languages, for
the first two of the "Harry Potter" DVD's Bonus disks. I worked for several years
as the Senior Mixer for the Fox Family Channel on air promos.
In early
1998, having sold my recording and Postproduction studio located in
Burbank, I decided to return to freelance work. My company was dedicated
to creating content, and problem solving for new technology ventures.
My clients included Dreamworks, Warner Bros., Sting, and many others.
(Please refer to the attached resume below for more detailed production
credits.)
Before building my own production studio I was
the Director of Audio Operations for TCI Interactive, (a division
of John Malone's multinational Cable company TCI), where my responsibilities
included; Studio design, all aspects of budgeting and resource allocation,
working with multiple production teams in varying delivery environments,
creating and developing new technologies and strategies for variable
bandwidth delivery, scheduling, talent coordination, as well as a
great deal of creative work, as I was also responsible for creating
all of the music and sound for the products that were being developed.
There were over 25 teams and projects at any given time that I was
responsible for, coordinating all aspects of the Post production and
delivery process.
Prior to that I worked as a Synclavier programmer,
and as a sound designer in every possible production environment.
I won an Ace cable award for sound design and music as part of the
team that was responsible for Post production on the Nickelodeon Kids
show "Eureeka's Castle", and a Golden Globe for sound design on the
Feature film "Gettysburg" for Turner entertainment.
I have a high degree of expertise and experience
in both audio and video related computer technologies as well as traditional
methodologies for production and postproduction for Film and TV and
other entertainment media. I am also still a working and touring musician/Guitarist.
Playing in the studios of Los Angeles and touring with my band of
fellow studio musicians. I feel it is important that I maintain this
connection to playing and performing as I use this experience to stay
current with the newest audio technologies and solutions, that have
real world applications and uses for my clientele and myself. I have
been playing guitar for almost 30 years now and am always interested
in opportunities to play and make music.
I am extremely literate in computer managerial
softwares and am completely up to date with all technologies and production
methodologies for delivering entertainment media to all of the current
delivery platforms, including but not limited to; Episodic TV, Commercial
and Promo work, Feature Film, DVD, CD ROM, Internet and Intranet,
and other high density data streams. I am both technically and creatively
oriented. I am capable of creating, processing, and delivering audio
for all possible New Media delivery formats including, but not limited
to, MPEG3, Realaudio, as well as high fidelity audio at low data rates,
i.e. CD ROM, and many other possibilities. I currently own and operate
a state of the art Protools 24 Mix plus system that I use for Mastering
and personal recording projects.
Although the focus of my work has been audio production
and postproduction, I have always operated at the cutting edge of
technological possibility. I am a serious technologist with a strong
ability to visualize and realize technological and production methodologies
and solutions, as well as develop and manage teams of production and
design personnel.
My focus now is International consulting as an audio specialist, Producer,
and Mixer.
